Today we honor & remember the life of David Wiley Pender Sr.
A man whose legacy is built on faith, hard work, service, and deep love for his family.
For 88 years, he lived with purpose and strength, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. A devoted husband to Beverly for 70 incredible years, a proud father, “Grand Daddy” to generations, and a steady presence in his community—his life was a true example of commitment and care.
He was a man who could fix anything, build anything, and, more importantly, show up for anyone. Whether it was lending a hand, sharing wisdom, teaching life skills, or telling a good story (especially one involving Bigfoot), he brought joy, laughter, and guidance to those around him.
He loved the water, his family, and his faith—and in his final days, resting peacefully overlooking the lake he cherished, it was clear he had lived a full and meaningful life.
Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the hands he taught, the lives he touched, and the family he loved so well.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Please keep the Pender family in your prayers during this time.
